The Behavioral Health Training Collaborative* - Child Guidance Center’s Training Department - will provide informative trainings on a variety of mental and behavioral health topics designed for those with little or no previous behavioral health knowledge, as well as accomplished professionals.
Join us for this free virtual training entitled Motivational Interviewing. M.I. is an evidenced based practice that elicits behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve their ambivalence. M.I. uses a set of skills and principles to guide clients and therapists through the process of resolving ambivalence and this training will focus on learning specific techniques, reviewing principles and skills, and discussing strategies for utilizing M.I. with clients and families in practice.
