Good mental health during childhood and adolescence is as critical as good physical health. Child Guidance Center is dedicated to providing excellent behavioral and mental health services for vulnerable youth and families of Orange County. We work with family members, pediatricians, teachers, and all those that have the important role of ensuring all children are able to achieve their true potential.
Child Guidance Center was founded in 1967 by small group of concerned health care professionals and parents who recognized the lack of local mental health services in the community for children and families in crisis. Today we have the distinction of being one of the top 100 nonprofits in Orange County with a team of more than 90 talented mental health providers including licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists. We provide our services in multiple languages, and many of our therapists are from the cultures we serve. Our team of mental health providers support the behavioral and cognitive health needs of 1,000 children (0-21 yrs) and their family members each and every month. In the past 55 years, an estimated 154,000 children, teens, young adults, and their family members have benefited from our mental health treatment and supportive services.
