Leave a Lasting Legacy

Giving That Lasts

Create a lasting impact by including Child Guidance Center in your long-term giving plans. Legacy gifts help ensure future generations of children and families continue to receive vital mental health services and support.

  • Including Child Guidance Center in your will or living trust can be done with by adding a simple sentence to your will:

Legal Name: Child Guidance Center, Inc.

“I give to Child Guidance Center, Inc., an Orange Couty, California nonprofit corporation, Tax ID 95-2546170, (all or ___ percent of) the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to be used for its general charitable purposes.”

What are the Benefits of Making a Bequest?

    • You leave a lasting legacy to be remembered

    • You lessen the burden of taxes on your family

    • Your family may receive estate tax savings

  • Naming Child Guidance Center as a beneficiary of your retirement account is a simple and meaningful way to create a lasting impact for children and families in need of mental health care — without changing your will or trust.

Beneficiary gifts pass directly to Child Guidance Center and generally avoid the probate process, allowing your support to go to work quickly to help children, teens and veterans heal, grow, and thrive.

How to Name Child Guidance Center as a Beneficiary

    • Contact your retirement plan administrator or financial institution to request a beneficiary designation form, or visit their website to complete the process online.

    • On the form, you can choose to designate a specific percentage — up to 100% — of your retirement account to Child Guidance Center.. Please list us as:

Legal Name: Child Guidance Center, Inc.
Address: 600 W Santa Ana Blvd. Suite 202, Santa Ana, CA 92701
      Federal Tax ID/EIN: 95-2546170

  • You can create a lasting legacy by naming Child Guidance Center as a Payable-on-Death (POD) or Transfer-on-Death (TOD) beneficiary on your bank accounts, investment accounts, or certificates of deposit.

This simple designation allows you to leave a future gift to support children’s mental health care while maintaining complete control of your assets during your lifetime. You may designate any percentage — up to 100% — by contacting your financial institution and requesting a beneficiary designation form.

Naming Child Guidance Center as a beneficiary does not affect your access to the account. You remain free to use the funds, update beneficiaries, or close the account at any time.

  • You can designate Child Guidance Center as a primary beneficiary for any percentage — up to 100% — of your policy by completing an updated beneficiary designation form through your insurance provider.

You may also choose to name Child Guidance Center as a contingent beneficiary, meaning the organization would receive the remaining benefits only if your primary beneficiary does not survive you.
